Surface Transportation Board Issues Notice on 2024 Tax Information for Revenue Shortfall Allocation Method

WASHINGTON, June 12 (TNSFR) -- The Surface Transportation Board has issued a notice entitled "2024 Tax Information for Use in the Revenue Shortfall Allocation Method." This notice announces the publication of and invites public comment on the 2024 weighted average state tax rates for each Class I railroad. These rates were calculated by the Association of American Railroads for use in the Revenue Shortfall Allocation Method.
