WASHINGTON, June 4 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has issued a final rule addressing an unsafe condition in certain General Electric Co. Model GEnx-1B and GEnx-2B series engines. The rule, an airworthiness directive, mandates the replacement of specific high-pressure turbine stage 1 and stage 2 disks due to a manufacturer's investigation revealing that the powder metal material used in their production was suspected to contain iron inclusion . . .
