WASHINGTON, June 3 (TNSLrpt) -- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released comprehensive new guidelines aimed at improving the seismic design and evaluation of concrete members retrofitted with externally applied Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP). The publication, NIST Special Publication 1333 (NIST SP 1333), focuses specifically on the use of FRP-jacketed concrete columns in seismic retrofit applications, providing crucial guidance for engineers and designers.
