NEW YORK, June 2 (TNSLrpt) -- A report from the Manhattan Institute, a leading community of scholars and civic leaders, sheds light on the dramatic surge in homicide rates across the United States between 2020 and 2021, followed by a gradual decline in 2022 and 2023. The issue brief, titled "Spike and Recovery: Homicide in Big Cities, 2018-23," authored by Manhattan Institute Fellow Robert VerBruggen, provides a detailed analysis of these trends in the nation's largest cities.
