WASHINGTON, May 30 (TNSFR) -- The Federal Highway Administration, an agency within the U.S. Department of Transportation, has issued a final rule to rescind regulations concerning transportation management and monitoring systems.

These rules, originally established in 1996 and updated in 2007, are now deemed obsolete following the repeal of their underlying statutory authority.
