N.Y. PSC: Brooklyn Rental Building Approved for Electricity Submetering, Energy Audit Waived for New Construction

ALBANY, New York, May 21 -- The New York State Public Service Commission has authorized CP VI Crown Heights LLC, Brooklyn, New York, to submeter electricity at its new 569-unit rental building located at 54 Crown Street in Brooklyn. The decision, issued and effective May 21, 2025, allows the property owner to directly bill residents for their electricity consumption, with Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. continuing to master-meter the entire building.
