N.Y. PSC: Bronx Rental Tower Approved for Electricity Submetering, Affordable Housing Protections Included

ALBANY, New York, May 21 -- The New York State Public Service Commission has granted authorization to 120 East 144 LLC, Bronx, New York, to submeter electricity at its new 452-unit rental building located at 120 East 144th Street in the Bronx. The order, issued and effective May 21, 2025, allows the property owner to directly bill residents for their electricity usage, while Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. will continue to master-meter the entire building.
