RALEIGH, North Carolina, May 23 -- The North Carolina Utilities Commission has approved the registration of a 126 MWAC hydroelectric generating facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a clean energy facility. The decision, by the Chair of the Commission, follows an application filed by the Army Corps on February 5, 2025, for its facility located in Buford, Georgia.
