WASHINGTON, May 23 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), an agency within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) under the Department of Commerce, has announced a request for a significant modification to a scientific research permit.

Jason Kahn of NMFS in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking to amend Permit No. 24016-01, which authorizes critical research on endangered Atlantic and shortnose sturgeon populations.
