WASHINGTON, May 20 (TNSLrpt) -- U.S. per capita availability of vegetables and pulses, a key indicator of consumption, reached its lowest level in over 35 years in 2024, falling to 376 pounds per person. This marks a significant decline from the peak of 426 pounds in 1996, according to the latest "Vegetables and Pulses Outlook: April 2025" report (VGS-375) released by the USDA's Economic Research Service (ERS).
