U.S. Sugar Supply Expected to Decline in 2025/26, Mexico's Production Poised for Recovery

WASHINGTON, May 20 (TNSLrpt) -- The United States is bracing for a significant reduction in its sugar supply for the 2025/26 fiscal year, with forecasts indicating a nearly 600,000 short tons, raw value (STRV) drop from the previous year. This news comes from the "Sugar and Sweeteners Outlook: May 2025" report (SSS-M-441) released by the Economic Research Service (ERS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on May 16, 2025.
