WASHINGTON, May 20 (TNSLrpt) -- A new working paper from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) sheds light on the devastating and long-lasting effects of Hurricane Odile, which struck Baja California Sur, Mexico, in September 2014. The study, "Shining a Light on Resilience: Overcoming Hurricane Odile's Impact on Electricity and the Economy," utilizes nighttime light data to track the recovery of electricity service and economic activity in affected areas.
