RALEIGH, North Carolina, May 20 -- The North Carolina Utilities Commission (NCUC) has approved a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) for HCE Oaklands Solar, LLC, paving the way for the construction of a 40-megawatt (MWAC) solar photovoltaic electric generating facility in Bladen County. The order, issued on May 19, 2025, follows an application filed by HCE Oaklands Solar, LLC, on December 31, 2024.
