NCUC Warns Household Goods Movers: File Annual Reports or Lose Certificates

RALEIGH, North Carolina, May 20 -- The North Carolina Utilities Commission (NCUC) has issued a stern warning to numerous motor carriers of household goods, stating its intent to cancel their certificates of exemption if they fail to file their 2023 Annual Reports. The order, dated May 19, 2025, gives delinquent companies 30 days from the date of service to submit their overdue reports.
