Kentucky PSC Seeks Answers on Inter-County Energy's Advanced Meter Opt-Out Plan

FRANKFORT, Kentucky, May 16 -- The Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) has opened an inquiry into Inter-County Energy Cooperative Corporation's proposal to implement an opt-out tariff for residential customers who do not wish to have advanced metering systems (AMS), also known as smart meters. In an order dated May 15, 2025, the PSC issued its first request for information to the energy cooperative, seeking detailed explanations for various aspects of the proposed tariff.
