DOE Proposes Rescission of Reporting Requirements for Exempt Power Supplies Under EPS Service Parts Act of 2014

WASHINGTON, May 16 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a proposed rule to rescind, in whole, the current reporting requirements applied to exempt consumer external power supplies under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended by the EPS Service Parts Act of 2014.

Originally codified in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations parts 429 and 430, these requirements mandate manufacturers to report the annual number of exempt power supply units . . .
