DOE Proposes Revisions to Energy Conservation Standards for Consumer Furnace Fans

WASHINGTON, May 16 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy has issued a proposed rule seeking public input on whether to revise the existing energy conservation standards for consumer furnace fans. This initiative falls under the authority granted by the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, which directs the Department to establish and periodically review energy efficiency standards for a variety of consumer products, including furnace fans.
