State Department Extends U.S. Passport Travel Restriction to North Korea Through August 2026

WASHINGTON, May 15 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. State Department has announced an extension of the existing restriction invalidating all U.S. passports for travel to, in, or through the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) until August 31, 2026.

This announcement, published in the Federal Register, continues a travel ban first imposed on September 1, 2017, which has been renewed annually due to ongoing security concerns.
