FRANKFORT, Kentucky, May 14 -- The Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced it will investigate a proposed general rate adjustment filed by Farmers Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation (Farmers RECC).

According to documents filed with the PSC, Farmers RECC submitted its application on May 5, 2025, seeking to implement new rates effective June 4, 2025. However, the PSC stated that Kentucky law (KRS 278.180(1)) requires a 30-day notice for any utility rate changes.
