WASHINGTON, May 14 (TNSLrpt) -- The U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following document on May 13, 2025, from Economics Daily:

1.7 million people had been unemployed 27 weeks or more in April 2025

In April 2025, 1.7 million people had been unemployed for 27 weeks or more, an increase of 179,000 from the previous month. This duration of joblessness is considered long-term unemployment.
