WASHINGTON, May 8 (TNSFRinfo) -- The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is requesting public comment on the extension of information collection concerning the protection of collateral for counterparties in uncleared swap transactions.
This action is in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act.
The rules require swap dealers (SDs) and major swap participants (MSPs) to inform their uncleared swap counter parties about their right to segregate initial margin.
