AUGUSTA, Maine, May 7 -- The Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has granted Nexamp, Inc.'s request to revoke the renewable resource certifications for its 4.99 MW Searsport Solar 1 Facility. The order, issued on May 6, 2025, reverses a prior certification granted on August 9, 2023.
The earlier certification had designated the solar facility, located in Searsport, Maine, as a Class I and Class IA renewable resource, making it eligible under Maine's Renewable Portfolio . . .
