N.Y. PSC: LIPA Seeks Amendment for Commercial Avenue Equipment Project

ALBANY, New York, May 6 -- The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) has filed a petition with the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) seeking an amendment to a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need. The original certificate, issued in 1973, authorized the installation, operation, and maintenance of substation equipment and a 138 kilovolt (kV) transmission line.
