WASHINGTON, May 6 (TNSFRinfo) -- The U.S. Department of Labor Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is requesting public feedback on the information collection requirements associated with petitions for modification of mandatory safety standards for mines. These procedures, outlined in the Department's regulations at 30 CFR 44.9, 44.10, and 44.11, allow mine operators, representatives of miners, or independent contractors to seek relief from specific safety standards.
