WASHINGTON, May 6 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Navy has announced the issuance of a Certificate of Alternate Compliance for the USS Beloit (LCS 29), a vessel of special construction and purpose within the U.S. Navy. Due to its unique design and functionality, the vessel is unable to fully comply with certain provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (72 COLREGS), specifically concerning its navigation lights.
