WASHINGTON, May 6 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a supplemental notice of proposed rulemaking (SNPRM) to expand the applicability of a previously proposed airworthiness directive for certain Airbus SAS aircraft.

The directive originally targeted Airbus A300, A300-600, and A310 series airplanes due to a critical safety issue related to fatigue-induced cracking of the main deck cargo door (MDCD) actuator bearing fitti . . .
