KVMD-TV Faces $32,500 Fine From FCC for Public File Issues

WASHINGTON, May 2 -- The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has reached a settlement with KVMD Licensee Co., LLC, the licensee of KVMD(TV) in Twentynine Palms, California, requiring the broadcaster to pay a civil penalty of $32,500. The action, detailed in a Consent Decree adopted and released by the FCC's Media Bureau on May 1, 2025, resolves an investigation into the station's failure to properly maintain its online public inspection file (OPIF).
