Media Tip Sheet: Vietnam War 50th Commemoration

April 30 marks 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War. On this date in 1975, communist North Vietnam took over Saigon, then-capital of South Vietnam, and renamed it Ho Chi Minh City. Month-long preparations for the 50th anniversary of the end of the war culminated on Wednesday.
