N.Y. PSC Denies NYSEG and RG&E's Request to Exclude Outages From Reliability Metrics

ALBANY, New York, April 30 -- The New York State Public Service Commission (NYPSC) has denied petitions from New York State Electric & Gas Corporation (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation (RG&E) to exclude data from their 2022 and 2023 System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) and Customer Average Interruption Duration Index (CAIDI) calculations. The decision was made on April 24, 2025, and detailed in an order issued on April 28, 2025.
