FAA Issues Airworthiness Directive for General Electric Engines to Address Safety Concerns

WASHINGTON, April 16 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, has issued a final rule superseding Airworthiness Directives (AD) 2020-20-17 and 2021-15-05 for all General Electric Company (GE) Model GE90-110B1 and GE90-115B engines. This new rule includes revisions and updates aimed at addressing ongoing safety concerns related to the engines' electronic control systems.
