HALLOWELL, Maine, April 9 -- The Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has approved a request from ND Paper, Inc. to modify the method used to calculate Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) for two of its renewable generation facilities in Rumford. In an order issued on April 8, 2025, the Commission granted ND Paper's petition to amend the calculation method, allowing for a revised proportional method recommended by an independent audit team.
