WASHINGTON, April 2 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service, Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona, has announced its intent to repatriate 630 unassociated funerary objects to the Hopi Tribe of Arizona and the Zuni Tribe of the Zuni Reservation, New Mexico.
The artifacts, which include mosaic pieces, shell beads, pottery, and other burial-related items, were originally excavated in 1953 from a site in Apache County, Arizona, within what is now Petrifi . . .
