WASHINGTON, April 2 (TNSFR) -- The National Museum of Wildlife Art of the United States, Jackson, Wyoming, has announced its intent to repatriate four culturally significant items to the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Montana.
The objects, which include a sacred red catlinite buffalo effigy pipehead and three items of cultural patrimony--a beaded plains-style man's vest and two beaded effigy pipe bags from 1885--have been identified as hold . . .
