FERC Announces Plan to Prepare Environmental Assessment for Spencer Mountain Hydropower Project

WASHINGTON, March 28 (TNSFR) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has announced its intent to prepare an environmental assessment (EA) for the relicensing of the Spencer Mountain Hydroelectric Project, located on the South Fork Catawba River near Gastonia, North Carolina.

The project, owned by Spencer Mountain Hydropower, LLC, generates 0.64 megawatts of electricity and is undergoing the relicensing process to continue operations.
