WASHINGTON, March 27 (TNSFR) -- The Yale Peabody Museum, Yale University, New Haven, Conneticutt, has announced the planned repatriation of human remains and funerary objects to several Native American tribes under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). This decision follows an extensive inventory process that confirmed the remains, representing at least 29 individuals, and seven associated funerary objects were culturally affiliated with 25 tribal nations.
