WASHINGTON, March 27 (TNSFR) -- The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University has announced its intention to repatriate a significant sacred object to its rightful descendant under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The artifact, an akua hulu manu, or feathered god image, is a revered Hawaiian religious object once associated with Kamehameha I, the ruler who united the Hawaiian Islands in the early 19th century.
