WASHINGTON, March 27 (TNSFR) -- The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has issued a decision approving the expansion of underground mining operations by Sugar Camp Energy, LLC at Mine No. 1 in Illinois. The decision, published in the Federal Register on March 27, 2025, follows an extensive environmental review process and allows the company to move forward with longwall mining operations covering an additional 22,414 acres.
