USDA Further Delays Horse Protection Rule, Seeks Public Comment

WASHINGTON, March 21 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has announced a further delay in the implementation of amendments to federal horse protection regulations. Initially set to take effect on February 1, 2025, and later postponed until April 2, 2025, the amendments will now be delayed until February 1, 2026. The agency is also inviting public comment on whether the postponement should be extended further.
