FAA Establishes Class E Airspace for Sunbury, NC, to Enhance Flight Safety

WASHINGTON, March 20 (TNSFR) -- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has finalized a rule establishing Class E airspace extending upward from 700 feet above the surface at the Sunbury Fire Department Heliport in Sunbury, North Carolina.

This action, effective June 12, 2025, aims to enhance flight safety and facilitate instrument flight rules (IFR) operations through new area navigation (RNAV) global positioning system (GPS) standard instrument approach procedures.
