WASHINGTON, March 20 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued an exemption to Constellation Energy Generation, LLC, allowing the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station (NMP) in Scriba, New York, to continue storing spent nuclear fuel under modified conditions.
The exemption permits the facility to maintain nine previously loaded and to load six new 89 multi-purpose canisters (MPC-89-CBS) with continuous basket shims in the HI-STORM Flood/Wind MPC Storage System, . . .
