WASHINGTON, March 15 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Tonto National Forest has announced plans to repatriate human remains and cultural items in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). These remains and artifacts, which were removed from federal and tribal lands during past archaeological excavations, will be returned to the appropriate tribal entities, with priority given to the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community . . .
