TOPEKA, Kansas, March 12 -- The Kansas State Corporation Commission (SCC) has issued a penalty order against Atmos Energy Corporation, fining the company $8,000 for multiple violations of the Kansas Underground Utility Damage Prevention Act (KUUDPA). The violations, which occurred between March and December 2024, involved failures to provide timely and accurate pipeline location services, leading to damages during excavation.
