Kentucky PSC Launches Review of Kentucky Power's Environmental Surcharge

FRANKFORT, Kentucky, March 5 -- The Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) has initiated an electronic examination of Kentucky Power Company's (Kentucky Power) environmental surcharge mechanism for three six-month billing periods ending December 31, 2023, June 30, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

This review, mandated by KRS 278.183(3), requires the PSC to assess the past operations of the environmental surcharge, disallow any amounts deemed unjust or unreasonable, and reconcile . . .
