WASHINGTON, March 6 (TNSFR) -- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced a proposed amendment to the Class E airspace surrounding Payson Airport in Arizona. The proposal comes as part of an ongoing effort to reassess airspace configurations following the decommissioning of the Payson non-directional beacon (NDB).
The changes would expand the controlled airspace from a six-mile radius to a 20.9-mile radius, ensuring safer and more efficient instrument flight rule (IFR) . . .
