EPA Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Settlement for U.S. Technology Superfund Site

WASHINGTON, March 6 (TNSFR) -- The Environmental Protection Agency has announced a proposed settlement agreement related to the U.S. Technology Superfund Site in Berger, Franklin County, Missouri. This agreement seeks to recover costs incurred by the EPA during a Time-Critical Removal Action conducted between September 2018 and June 2019, which involved the removal of approximately 13 million pounds of hazardous spent blast media containing toxic levels of cadmium, chromium, and lead.
