WASHINGTON, March 5 (TNSFR) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has received a petition from Seaspan Energy Ltd. requesting a declaratory order regarding the regulatory status of liquefied natural gas (LNG) transactions for marine fuel.
Seaspan seeks confirmation that the sale and loading of LNG from a bunkering facility to a bunkering barge, solely for use as vessel fuel, would not be subject to FERC's jurisdiction under sections 3 and 7 of the Natural Gas Act. . . .
