WASHINGTON, March 1 (TNSFR) -- Peabody Twentymile Mining, LLC has submitted a petition to the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requesting a modification of the federal regulation governing permissible electric equipment in underground mines. The petition specifically seeks approval for the use of the Drager X-plore 8700 powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) at the Foidel Creek Mine in Routt County, Colorado.
