ALBANY, New York, Feb. 27 -- The New York State Public Service Commission has issued a notice soliciting public comments on proposed modifications to the state's Standardized Interconnection Requirements (SIRs) for distributed generators and energy storage systems of 5 MW or less. The request, under Case 24-E-0621, stems from a petition filed by the New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA) seeking greater transparency and cost certainty in the interconnection process.
