Maine PUC Approves Limited Exemption for Portland Natural Gas Transmission System

AUGUSTA, Maine, Feb. 12 -- The Maine Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has approved a limited exemption from reorganization requirements for the Portland Natural Gas Transmission System (PNGTS). The decision, issued February 11, 2025, grants PNGTS a partial reprieve from the stringent regulations outlined in 35-A M.R.S. Sec.708, while still maintaining oversight over key transactions.
