Kentucky PSC Denies Confidentiality Request From Big Sandy Rural Electric Cooperative, Citing Flaws

FRANKFORT, Kentucky, Feb. 1 -- The Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) has denied a motion from Big Sandy Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation (Big Sandy RECC) requesting confidential treatment for right-of-way bids not selected by the cooperative. The order, issued January 31, 2025, rejects Big Sandy RECC's argument that the information is commercially valuable and proprietary, and that its disclosure would create an unfair competitive advantage.
